- The Constitution Day is also known as the 'Samvidhan Divas'.
- It is celebrated every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949.
- On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India.
- It came into effect from 26th January 1950.
- Since 2015, it is being celebrated.
- 2015 was the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar.
- The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world.
