- According to the report by the Commerce Ministry - LEADS (Logistics Ease Across Different States) Gujarat has topped the first-of-its-kind logistics index chart.
- The second place is occupied by Punjab.
- Among the Union Territories, Daman & Diu occupied the top slot.
- As regards the hilly states, Tripura occupied the top slot.
- The Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) index is a composite indicator to assess international trade logistics across states and Union territories.
- It is an indicator of the efficiency of logistical services necessary for promoting exports in particular and economic growth in general.
- The report by the Commerce Ministry -Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) index was prepared with the help of consultancy firm Deloitte.
