- The first elevated corridor for Madurai district, part of the four-lane highway connecting Madurai with Thuvarankurichi in Tiruchi via Natham was inaugurated by PM.
- This is part of National Highway 785 and built under Bharatmala Pariyojana.
- This 7.3 km-long elevated corridor is the longest in Tamil Nadu.
