- The Vice President Venkaiah Naidu unveiling M.Karunanidhi’s 16-feet-tall statue at Omandurar Government Estate in Chennai.
- On the same road, a statue for Mr Karunanidhi was installed in 1975 when he was alive.
- However, it was removed in the year 1987.
