- The Union Minister of Earth Sciences Harsh Vardhan launched the mobile app.
- It promises accurate weather forecasts and other warnings for nearly 450 cities in the country.
- It was designed and developed by the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune and the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
- It was released on 27th July 2020, in the event of celebration of 14th Foundation day of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
