- India will host UN Security Council’s 15 member countries special counterterrorism meeting.
- The meeting in India will be the seventh occasion of that meeting convened outside of the UN headquarters.
- India got a 2-year term as an elected non-permanent member of the UNSC last year.
- India will serve as the committee’s chair until December 2022.
