- Tata steel has been announced as the ‘Official partner’ for the Men’s Hockey World cup 2018, which is to be held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
- The upcoming 14th edition of the FIH (International Hockey Federation) World Cup will be held in India for the 3rd time.
- Earlier, India had hosted the tournament in 1982 in Mumbai and in 2010 in New Delhi.
- Tata Steel is the first private sector company in India to start a hockey academy.
