- Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) emerged overall champion in the second Elite men’s national boxing championship at the Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium
- Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) Manish Kaushik won the 56kg category gold in the Men’s National Boxing Championship
- Manoj Kumar and Mandeep Jangra won the gold in categories of 69 kg , 75 kg respectively.
- Special prizes were given to Manoj Kumar of RSPB (best boxer), Manoj Kaushik (most promising boxer) and NT Lalbiakkima of Mizoram (best challenger).
