- “Bharat Ratna Dr.M.G.R. Traditional Rice variety conservator Award” would be conferred for supporting the traditional paddy variety growing farmers and to conserve traditional varieties.
- The first prize was given to N. Sakthiprakash from Namakkal and the second prize was given to S. Velmurugan from Salem and the third prize was given to U.Sivaraman from Sivagangai district.
