- The low-altitude and denser clouds had more amount of microplastics.
- They include polyethylene terephthalate (otherwise known as PET), polypropylene, polyethylene and polystyrene.
- All these particles commonly found in synthetic fibres, clothing and textiles, as well as packaging and face masks.
- Microplastics in clouds may affect the weather and climates of the region.
- Microplastics have been defined as tiny chunks of less than five millimetres long pieces of plastic.
