- It is because new migration has slowed and return migration has increased.
- Remittance flows to low and middle-income countries (LMICs) are projected to fall by 7 percent.
- The top 5 countries in 2020 to receive foreign remittances are expected to be India, China, Mexico, the Philippines and Egypt.
