- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has announced an increase in the monthly and family pensions of former Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Legislative Council (MLC).
- The MLAs’ monthly pension will be increased to ₹35,000 from ₹30,000.
- This will be implemented from April 1, 2025.
- The family pension of MLAs and MLCs will be increased from ₹15,000 to ₹17,500.
- The medical allowance for former MLAs and MLCs will be ₹1 lakh instead of ₹75,000.
