- Indian Ambassador to Nepal announced that Motihari- Amlekhgunj petroleum pipeline has been successfully completed by India.
- The project will start commercial operation by August following virtual inauguration by executive heads of the two countries.
- The 69-kilometre long petroleum pipeline from Motihari in Bihar to Amlekhgunj in Nepal has been constructed by India.
- It will help in tackling the oil storage problem in Nepal and doing away with transportation of petroleum products through tankers.
