- Uttarakhand government plans to set up Asia’s first Six Sigma Institute of Mountain Medicines and High-Altitude Rescue in Rudraprayag district.
- The institute would also train armed forces as well as paramilitary personnel in Mountain Medicines.
- It would provide necessary high-altitude medical services to pilgrims and tourists visiting the state.
