- The Chief Minister's grievance departments (முதலமைச்சரின் குறைதீர்ப்பு துறைகள்) have been consolidated to form a new department.
- It is called as Mudhalavarin Mugavari (முதல்வரின் முகவரி).
- The Government of Tamil Nadu has also announced that Shilpa Prabhakar Satish has been appointed as the new Special Officer of this department.
