- The Delhi government announced to add Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan and Velankanni Church in Tamil Nadu to its pilgrimage scheme called “Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana”
- The Delhi government also decided to add two more routes, apart from the existing 13 yatra routes.
- The two routes are Delhi-Velankanni-Delhi and Delhi-Kartarpur Sahib-Delhi.
- The devotees will travel on the Delhi-Velankanni-Delhi route in AC-III tier trains.
- For Kartarpur Sahib, they will go in air-conditioned buses.
