About Mukurthi park
- Mukurthi National Park is a 78.46 km2 (30.3 sq mi) protected area located in Nilgiris Plateau, the Western Ghats.
- The park was created to protect its keystone species, the Nilgiri tahr.
- It is also home to other endangered species like Royal Bengal Tiger and Asian elephant.
