- The undersea tunnels will be built as a part of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project.
- It comprises the land-filled roads on the areas that are reclaimed from the sea, tunnels, bridges.
- The Coastal Road project is an under construction 22.2-kilometre freeway.
- That would run along Mumbai's western coastline connecting Marine Lines in the south to Kandivali in the north.
- It is the first undersea road tunnel in the country.
- It will pass through the Arabian Sea near Girgaon Chowpatty.
