  • The Tamilnadu State government is conducting special camps across the State for the class XII students to ensure that they clear the board exam and pursue higher education.
  • The special camps will be organised by the School State Project Directorate in each district under the Naan Mudhalvan’s scheme (Uyarvukku Padi).
  • The special camp will be organised for the students, who failed to register for pursuing higher education in Engineering, Polytechnic, Arts, Science and Vocational colleges in the State.
  • Spot admissions will also be made for the students based on the vacancies in the colleges.
  • Of 3,97,809 Class XII students during 2022-23, 2,39,270 students have enrolled in higher education and 45,440 students have applied for higher education.
  • 1,13,099 students have either not applied or not provided sufficient details of enrolment.
  • In 2023-2024, of the 3,31,540 Class XII students, 1,97,510 students have applied for higher education.
  • 1,34,030 students have either not applied or not provided sufficient details of application.
