The Tamilnadu State government is conducting special camps across the State for the class XII students to ensure that they clear the board exam and pursue higher education.
The special camps will be organised by the School State Project Directorate in each district under the Naan Mudhalvan’s scheme (Uyarvukku Padi).
The special camp will be organised for the students, who failed to register for pursuing higher education in Engineering, Polytechnic, Arts, Science and Vocational colleges in the State.
Spot admissions will also be made for the students based on the vacancies in the colleges.
Of 3,97,809 Class XII students during 2022-23, 2,39,270 students have enrolled in higher education and 45,440 students have applied for higher education.
1,13,099 students have either not applied or not provided sufficient details of enrolment.
In 2023-2024, of the 3,31,540 Class XII students, 1,97,510 students have applied for higher education.
1,34,030 students have either not applied or not provided sufficient details of application.
