- Nagaland has decided to start a variant of the National Register of Citizens similar to the one in Assam.
- It is named as Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN).
- It is supposed to be a master list of all indigenous peoples and will check the issuance of fake indigenous inhabitant certificates.
