- Recently, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has released the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat: Annual Action Plan (2020-21)'.
- It is released on the occasion of 'International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking'.
- It is a three-pronged attack combining efforts of Narcotics Bureau, Outreach/Awareness by Social Justice and Treatment through the Health Department.
- This campaign was originally launched in 2015 by Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab.
- The Narcotics Control Bureau has identified the “most affected” 272 districts which mostly belong to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and the North-East lead the states.
