- The Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Prahlad Singh Patel has inaugurated the National Conference on Millets.
- The theme of the conference is ‘The Future Super Food for India’ in New Delhi.
- It was organised by industry body ASSOCHAM with the support of Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
- India is now the 5th largest exporter of millets globally.
- The year 2023 will be the international year of millets.
