- The Constitution Day of India is observed every year on November 26.
- It is also known as Samvidhan Divas or National Law Day or National Constitution Day.
- The day marks the occasion of formal adoption of Constitution of India on November 26, 1949.
- The draft of the constitution was prepared under the Chairmanship of Dr.BR Ambedkar.
- The day is celebrated as a tribute to Dr. Ambedkar and to make citizens aware of the importance of constitution and constitutional values.
- Since 2015, it is being recognised as such due to the 125th Birth Anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar.
