- National cooperative week is celebrated every year all over the India from 14th of November to 20th of November.
- This year 66th National cooperatives week is celebrated.
- The objective of the week is to highlight the contribution of the co-operatives in the economy of the nation.
- The celebrations are organized by the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), which is the apex organization of the Indian cooperative movement.
- The main theme for 2019 celebrations is “Role of Cooperatives in India” focusing on how cooperatives in India can help in strengthening the rural economy and increase the earning of farmers.
