- Every year February 10 and August 10 are observed as the National Deworming Day (NDD).
- The day aims at eradicating intestinal worms among children within the age bracket of 1-19 years.
- These worms are also referred as Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH).
- Intestinal worms are parasites that live in the human intestines.
- It consumes nutrients and vitamins that a toddler consumes.
