- During this year observation, National Energy Conservation Awards were given in various categories
- Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd has won award in Paper & Pulp industry category.
- SMR Automotive Systems India Ltd, Kancheepuram has won award in the Plastic industry category.
- Taj Club House and The Residency, Chennai got the Certificate of Merit in Hotel sectors of Building category.
- SBOA School & Junior College, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) got Appreciation prize in National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024.
