- The day was declared by the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) in 2018.
- It was on this day in 1945 when MK Gandhi became lifetime Chairman of the All-India Nature Cure Foundation Trust.
- The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), Pune has released a book on Naturopathy Day titled as ‘Gandhi the Healer’.
- Theme of this year is “Naturopathy for holistic Health”.
- MK Gandhi himself was a proponent of this practice.
- He wrote a book called Nature Cure.
- He helped set up Nisargopachar Ashram, a naturopathy centre, at Urulikanchan near Pune.
