- The Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways notified to set up a “National Road Safety Board”.
- The National Safety Board will be responsible for the promotion of road safety, innovation and adoption of new technology.
- It will also regulate traffic and motor vehicles.
- The Head Office of the National Road Safety Board will be established in the National Capital Region.
- All the members of the board will be appointed by the Central Government.
