- President Ram Nath Kovind presented the National Sports Day Awards on the 114th birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand.
- The Selection panel for National Sports awards had 12 members that was headed by Supreme Court Judge Justice (Retd) Mukundakam Sharma.
