- Nethanna Bima Scheme was recently launched by Telangana on the occasion of National Handloom Day.
- This scheme has been launched for the welfare of weavers.
- Nathanna Bima Scheme is one-of-its-kind insurance cover scheme.
- It will benefit around 80,000 weavers’ families.
- Under the scheme, government will provide Rs 5 lakh insurance cover to the families of weaver, in case of unfortunate death of eligible beneficiary.
- It will be implemented by government in association with the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India.
