The Network Readiness Index 2022 was released by Portulans institute, a US-based non-profit organization.
The report assesses a network-based preparedness scenario based on their performance in four different pillars of 131 economies – technology, people, governance and impact.
US is the top performer in this index, Singapore and Sweden are in second and third place respectively.
Singapore is the country making the most progress in this index.
It has moved from 7th position to second place, pushing Denmark (6th) and Finland(7th).
The top performing country in Asia Pacific is Singapore, followed by South Korea and Japan.
India(61st rank) ranks third among 36 lower-middle-income countries after Ukraine and Indonesia.
