- China has successfully launched three satellites viz., a resource satellite- ZY-1 02D and two small satellites.
- These were launched by a long march-4B carrier rocket (310th mission).
- The resource satellite will provide data by monitoring natural resource asset management, ecological monitoring, disaster prevention and control, environmental protection, urban construction, transportation, and contingency management.
- One of the 2 small satellites called BNU-1 will primarily monitor polar climate.
