- The Scientists associated with the National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources have identified four species of shrimps hitherto not found in Indian waters.
- It was found at the coral reefs in the Agatti Island of Lakshadweep group of islands.
- The two species were named as Periclimenella agatti and Urocaridella arabianesis after the Agatti island and the Arabian Sea respectively.
