- The Scientists have identified a new species of Indo-Burmese pangolin (Manis indoburmanica) in Arunachal Pradesh.
- It is diverged from the Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) approximately 3.4 million years ago.
- They spread across Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
