- The Maharashtra government has approved Ghodazari in Chandrapur district as a new wildlife sanctuary in the state.
- The sanctuary includes 159 sq. km of Brahmapuri forest.
- The sanctuary includes hilly terrain, Saatbahini hills, Ghodazari lake, Muktai waterfall etc. The area is rich with flora and fauna.
