- The union minister of state for electronics & information technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, inaugurated three National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) centres of northeast states.
- These were inaugurated in Churachandpur district of Manipur, Kokrajhar and Tezpur districts of Assam.
