- 22 universities from Tamil Nadu find a place among top 100 in NIRF rankings.
- Thirty-five colleges from Tamil Nadu featured in the top 100 colleges in the NIRF list this year, three more than in the previous year.
- Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Vellore Institute of Technology have got the 15th and 17th positions respectively in the overall category.
- Anna University is ranked 18th in the overall category.
- NIT Trichy stood at 21st.
- Around 20 universities and colleges are securing places in list of over all100.
- Anna University is ranked 14th among universities, while Bharathiyar University is ranked 24th.
- Ranking of University of Madras among universities has fallen from 39 in 2022 to 50 in 2023.
- But it has improved its overall ranking from 70 last year to 63 this year.
- Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Vellore Institute of Technology have got the seventh and eighth positions this year in the university category.
- Presidency College retained third position in the rankings of colleges.
- Around 35 colleges are securing places in rankings of top 100 colleges list.
