About NIN
- NIN was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor.
- NIN is recognized for its pioneering studies on various aspects of nutrition research, with special reference to protein energy malnutrition (PEM).
- It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
