West Bengal Government has unveiled the official emblem of the state government, which was recently approved by the centre.
The emblem highlights the ‘Biswa Bangla’ theme, and also has the features of national emblem, the Ashoka Pillar.
The emblem was designed by Ms. Banerjee, was vetted by a State government committee headed by eminent artist Jogen Chowdhury and then sent to the Centre for approval in May.
Biswa Bangla is an MSME enterprise established by the Government of West Bengal to promote handicrafts of the West Bengal.
