Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan made an official state visit to India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 12th India-Japan Annual Summit with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe by his side after launching the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project
The estimate cost of the project is Rs. 1.10 lakh crore. Out of which, Japan’s credit contribution is around 88,000 crore rupees with mere 0.1% interest rate.
Among the total track distance, 92% will be on elevated flyover; 21 kilometre in underground tunnel; 7 kilometre will be under sea.
The project is expected to be accomplished by 2022. The project would reduce 550 kilometre journey to 2 Hrs.
