- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has accorded its approval for mandatory packaging of food grains and sugar in jute material.
- It is aimed at diversification of jute industry.
- The approval will benefit farmers and workers in the Eastern and North-Eastern regions of the country.
