- The central government has decided to celebrate Netaji's birth anniversary on January 23rd every year as Parakram Diwas.
- This year is the 125th Birth Anniversary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
- The honour of Netaji was conferred on Subash Chandra Bose in Germany, in early 1942 by the Indian soldiers of the Indian Legion and by the German and Indian officials in the Special Bureau for India in Berlin.
