- The Union HRD Minister launched the Paramarsh scheme of University Grants Commission (UGC).
- Under this program, a specific higher education will be chosen as a mentor.
- Institutions which aim to get National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) and deliver quality education will be mentored.
- The scheme will target 1000 Higher Education Institutions for mentoring.
