In the period of October-December 2021, the unemployment rate for all those aged 15 years and above in the country’s urban areas slipped from 10.3 per cent.
It was recorded in the same quarter a year ago to 8.7 per cent.

In the period from July to September 2021, the unemployment rate for all the individuals in the country aged 15 years and above was 9.8 per cent in the urban areas of India.
This was highlighted in the 13th Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS).
In the urban areas, the worker population ratio in CWS stood at 43.2 per cent for the October-December 2021 quarter.
