- The Governor of Tamilnadu Banwarilal approves Bill for providing 20 pc quota for Tamil medium candidates in TNPSC.
- It will now be filled by candidates who had completed their education in the State language, Tamil.
- According to the amendment, the candidate will have to have be completed their studies up to the qualifying exam as specified by the exam.
- The Tamil Medium Act 2010 came into force during DMK regime.
