- Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Kiren Rijiju felicitated Ripu Daman Bevli, popularly known as Plogman of India and named him as Plogging Ambassador of India.
- Sports Minister also launched nation-wide Plogging Ambassador Mission.
- Under this Mission, Indians who have been running and cleaning their cities/ towns/ districts, will be nominated as Plogging Ambassadors of their region.
- Ripu Daman Bevli started plogging in 2017.
