- Madhya Pradesh government issued a notification to implement the police Commissionerate system in Bhopal and Indore.
- With the announcement, both the cities will now get police commissioners of ADG rank.
- Police commissioners in both districts will be assisted by two IG rank officers and nine SP rank officers.
- Under the police Commissionerate system, the police commissioner will not have to report to the district magistrate.
