- In a separate order, Election Commission of India (ECI), reprimanded Mayawati for the violation of Section 123 (corrupt practices) of the Representation of the People Act.
- If a candidate or her agent is inducing to vote or Not vote based on the grounds of race, religion, caste, community it is defined as a “corrupt practice” under Section 123.
