- Odisha based Navaratna NALCO has been selected for President's award for utilisation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund in social development.
- In 2015 it started a program called “Aliali Jiha” similar to Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
- It paid education expense from Class 8 to 10 for 416 girls from BPL families of 66 villages in Anugul and Koraput districts.
