- The Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam hosted the President’s Fleet Review 2022.
- The fleet review is a long-standing tradition followed by navies all across the world.
- It is an assembly of ships at a pre-designated place for the purpose of displaying loyalty and allegiance to the sovereign and the state.
- The 12th Fleet Review holds a special significance as it was conducted on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence being celebrated as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ across the country.
- The President’s Yacht is an indigenously built Naval Offshore Patrol Vessel,
- INS Sumitra will lead the Presidential Column.
